This floor is set with Autumn slate in a Versailles pattern including 24 x 16, 16 x 16, 16 x 8 and 8 x 8 tiles
Preparing the floor and tearing out the old one
After the floor is prepped and the underlayment is layed down its time to start setting the tile
After much labor and time on the saw.....we have a floor
Now for the sealing process
We used a no gloss color enhancer sealer on the floor, a 2 coat process was used to retrieve the most color out of the slate as possibleWatch the dramatic difference of the slate from coat to coat, the two pictures below are of the first coat.
Here comes the second coat, look at the difference a second coat makes ! !
Look at how the colors just pop out of the slate, what a gorgeous floor ! !
